A senior U.N. official has said a mission previously undertaken by the United Nations as arbitrator in talks on Cyprus is no longer valid, reported NTV television yesterday.
The same official, who was not named by NTV, said the United Nations acted as an arbitrator in the 2004 talks on Cyprus at the request of the sides involved."
