Turkey’s official development assistance is taking off. The Turkish Cooperation and Development Agency, which executes and coordinates Turkey’s international development assistance, has been going through some radical changes. Established in 1992 in response to the disintegration of the Soviet Union, TIKA aims to extend development assistance to neighboring countries and Turkic states where the Turkish language is spoken. "
