The Armenian diaspora has tried hard to turn the 90th anniversary of the killings of Armenians during unrest under the Ottoman Empire into leverage to win parliamentary recognition from Western countries and is eyeing an annual April 24th statement by U.S. President George Bush to see whether he uses the term 'genocide' before a draft resolution upholding the genocide allegations is presented to the U.S. Congress."
