"Partnership Council to Meet in Luxembourg

The top level decision body between Turkey and the European Union (EU), Partnership Council, will hold its 44th session on 26 April 2005 in Luxembourg.
A Turkish Foreign Ministry statement informs that the Council meeting, which will be chaired by Foreign Minister Abdullah Gul, is of crucial importance and is the latest development in Turkey's EU accession process. The process hereafter will take Turkey to the start of negotiations on October 3.
The exchange of opinions regarding the operation of the Customs Union, financial cooperaton and adaptation to EU's acquis communitaire will also be covered. "
