"...The Scientific and Technical Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK) Acting Chairwoman Professor Nuket Yetis made a speech titled, 'The woman's place in science in Turkey,' in the same panel. Yetis said, as the institution, they have started using the word 'scientist' instead of 'man of science”.
She stressed Turkish women rapidly rose in science, 'Forty percent of the lecturers for science courses at our universities are women. This is higher than the European Union average.'"
