There is an important guest from the U.S. Congress in Ankara. Congressman Robert Wexler, co-chair of the Congressional Turkey Caucus and the Congressional Study Group on Turkey.
Turks perhaps would have been delighted if Rep. Wexler, in an opportunistic manner, had preferred to flatter them, but the U.S. congressman won our praise by choosing to talk frankly and bitterly, expressing how serious a disappointment the visit of the Hamas delegation to Ankara had created in Washington and asking senior Turkish officials: �What national interest did that visit help? What was in it for Turkey?�"
