Even with its low level of national income per capita and loaded debts, an assessment different than that of “Turkey will be a burden on the European Union (EU)” is being made in Europe.
Murat Yalcintas, Istanbul Chamber of Commerce Chair, said the 'dynamic' and 'fast growing' Turkey may invigorate and strengthen the European Union, for which membership negotiations have started."
