"Police deny spate of attacks on Turkish Cypriot cars
By Jean Christou POLICE yesterday denied reports in the bicommunal newspaper Dialogue that there had been an increase in the number of attacks against Turkish Cypriot cars at the Orphanides shopping centre in the past two weeks. Dialogue, which is published in Greek, Turkish and English, reported that according to its information two Greek Cypriots stopped a Turkish Cypriot car leaving the car park, smashing its windows with iron bars. It also said “a great number of cars in Carrefour’s car park have been sprayed with paint” and that a Greek Cypriot youth was arrested after stopping a Turkish Cypriot woman’s car to cover its windscreen with a Greek flag."
