"İstanbul to host 2012 indoor championships
The World Indoor Championships will be hosted by Doha in 2010 and by İstanbul in 2012, the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) said on Saturday.
The governing body for the sport of athletics chose the Qatar city of Doha over Istanbul for 2010, but was sufficiently impressed by the Turkish city’s bid to award it the 2012 edition."
