The French National Assembly is scheduled to vote on Oct. 12 on a highly contentious bill that penalizes any denial of an alleged Armenian genocide at the hands of the Ottoman Empire that was shelved last spring. The decision came at the request of the main opposition Socialist Party, also the architect of the bill."
