"Stress on secularism marks beginning of education year

The academic year of Ankara University and the military academy yesterday started with an emphasis on secularism.
Giving messages on secularism at ceremonies marking the beginning of the academic year at the Land Forces Military Academy and Ankara University, both Land Forces Commander Gen. Ilker Basbug and Rector Nusret Aras said that the country faces a grave threat from fundamentalism."
