Izmir. The Greek coastal guard held 40 illegal immigrants trying to pass from Turkey to Greece in open sea in the region of the island of Sakiz and threw them into the sea in the region of Cape Karaborun near Izmir, the Turkish news agency Dogu Haber Ajansi /DHA/ reports. Villagers from nearby villages heard the cries for help and managed to save 31 people. Six people who couldn’t swim, drowned. Another three are reported missing. "
