"Foreign investment to Turkey forecast to double in 2007

The flow of foreign direct investment (FDI) to Turkey next year will double this year's amount to almost $20 billion, the head of the Institute of International Finance (IIF) predicted here on Friday.
Speaking at the annual joint meeting of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank, the chief of the international association of banks and financial houses, Charles Dallara, said Turkey's continued performance in slashing inflation and improving other macroeconomic indicators sets the stage for continued investment -- particularly in the banking sector. "
