ANKARA (AP)--Turkey's Foreign Ministry Wednesday said the country has no immediate plans to open ports to Greek Cypriot ships and planes as required by the European Union.
Turkey's government is under pressure from the E.U. to seek parliament's approval to ratify a customs union agreement with the bloc that would open its seaports and airports to Cyprus, an E.U. member.
'There is no such intention,' Foreign Ministry Spokesman Namik Tan told a news conference Wednesday. "
