In Arabic, the Palestinian Authority is called the 'Sulta.' But its subjects sometimes refer to it, in order to have fun, as the 'Palestinian Salad.' But nowadays it seems that it's difficult to find even salad to eat on those lands.
Israel, since it occupied the West Bank and Gaza Strip, made sure that it occupied the economy, too. Palestine depended heavily on Israel. All the investments in Palestine, by various means, need the approval of Israel. Agriculture depends on whether Israel lets the Palestinians work in their fields, and so on. "
