Among the bunch of so-called advisors to the Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan, it is hard to find anyone more aware of the importance of Turkey's (and also of the Justice and Development, AK, Party's) ties to the U.S. than Cuneyd Zapsu. Also, among the mostly nameless and faceless vice chairmen of the AK Party, it is equally hard to find anyone attaching more special importance to good, well-functioning relations with Washington than Saban Disli."
