NATO ally wants more than a thin slice of America's trade

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The bathrobe you might be wearing right now was probably made in Turkey. The ornamental stone at your favorite restaurant could well be Turkish.
But that's not nearly enough, argued Kürsad Tüzmen, Turkey's dapper and determined trade minister.
Mr. Tüzmen is promoting 'the year of Turkey in America,' with an emphasis on boosting trade with Texas and five other states.
'We didn't work very hard in the United States,' he said. 'But whenever I implement a strategy, I am serious. It works — definitely, it works.'"
