"New EU harmonization package to boost social reforms, says Demiralp
Turkey's ninth harmonization package, recently been released as part of Turkey's accession process to the European Union, will bring the level of social rights implementation in the country to that of most developed countries, according to Ambassador Oğuz Demiralp, head of the Secretariat-General for EU Affairs (ABGS).
What Demiralp was referring to yesterday in an interview with the Anatolia news agency was certain measures that the government has decided to take within the ninth harmonization package. The measures were announced earlier this month personally by Foreign Minister Abdullah Gül at a press conference. "
