Two key diplomats based in Ankara urged, restraint both to state officials and people in the region in the wake of violent incidents in Diyarbakir and the explosive southeast, calling for concrete improvements in the region.
U.S. Ambassador to Turkey Ross Wilson urged both state officials and people in the region to use their common sense. He said that the U.S. Consulate in Adana is following developments, adding that the demonstrations are one of the most critical incidents in the region for years."
