"E.U. Appreciates Turkey's Reforms, Kretschmer

IZMIR - ''EU appreciated the reforms Turkey has fulfilled in recent years,'' said Hans Joerg Kretschmer, EU Commission's Representative to Turkey, on Tuesday.
Taking the floor at an international conference entitled ''EU Accession: Perspectives for Agriculture Sector and Rural Areas in Turkey'' held at Hilton Hotel in western city of Izmir, Kretschmer noted that Turkey fulfilled significant reforms in areas of politics and economy, but there are many other things -- especially in the agriculture sector -- to be fulfilled regarding the EU acquis."
