The premiers said the visit would boost Middle East peace steps
Turkish PM Recep Tayyip Erdogan has held talks in Israel to try to improve ties that have cooled in recent years.
Mr Erdogan met Israeli counterpart Ariel Sharon with both saying the visit could help push forward the Middle East peace process.
Turkey is seen as Israel's only friend in the Muslim world - the two states have strong military and economic ties. "
