"15 arrested in Germany after clashes between Turks, Kurds
Tension was high between Turks and Kurds sympathizing with the outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) after clashes between the two groups in Berlin, news reports said yesterday. German riot police drive to the Cottbusser Tor underground station after clashes on Sunday night in Kreuzberg, Berlin. Berlin police said they had arrested 15 people and warned that further clashes could be expected. The violence on Sunday night, in which 18 officers were injured, followed a demonstration calling for unity between Turks and Kurds in the Kreuzberg neighborhood, a district with a large Turkish community."
