April 15-22 of every year is celebrated as Tourism Week, with 2006 marking the event's 30th anniversary.
A wide range of events were scheduled throughout Turkey to mark this year's celebrations, which got under way on April 15 in Nevşehir's district of Cappadocia with a wreath-laying ceremony attended by Culture and Tourism Minister Atilla Koç."
