"Tuzmen: We Support Annan Plan And Wish For A Fair Solution
ATHENS - ''Turkey supports the Annan Plan and wishes for a fair solution in Cyprus,'' said Turkish State Minister Kursad Tuzmen in Athens today.
Tuzmen answered questions from the press corps after delivering a speech at a round-table meeting organized by the Economist Group in Athens on Thursday.
Asked why Turkey does not open its seaports and airports to vessels of Greek Cypriot administration, Tuzmen answered that this issue is not under his responsibility.
''Look, you want me to look at this matter from a political perspective. We wish for the end of isolation of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and all embargoes. Let us cooperate and support bilateral trade. We do not want to see double standards. We wish for a just solution in Cyprus and within this framework support the Annan Plan,'' told Tuzmen.
Minister Tuzmen noted that Turkey and Greece can cooperate in international maritime affairs and international commerce."
