"EU supports Turkey to fight against child labour
Child labour continues to be a serious problem in Turkey, and the EU is financing a substantial project to help Turkey combat child labour. By the end of the project “Eradication of the Worst Forms of Child Labour in Turkey”, over 1,500 children will have been withdrawn from work and directed back to school. This is the first project that the EU is supporting in the area of child labour in Turkey.
