"Theaterless Mardin hosts second film fest
The southeastern Anatolian province of Mardin, which currently does not have a movie theater after its single theater was closed in 2006 due to a lack of public interest, will hold the second edition of its film festival on June 1-5, the organizers of the event announced this week.
The SineMardin Film Festival, organized by Pro-Con Organization under the auspices of the Mardin Municipality, will feature a number of award-winning Turkish and foreign feature films and shorts. All films will be screened free of charge, reported the Anatolia news agency."
