"Study: Few Dutch Muslims open to extremism

AMSTERDAM, Netherlands, Oct. 18 (UPI) -- Some 1,400 young Muslims in Amsterdam, Netherlands, are susceptible to 'radicalization' but are unlikely to become extremists, a university study said.

The potential extremists account for 2 percent of the Dutch capital's Muslim population, University of Amsterdam researchers said.

This group is made up of socially isolated 16- to 18-year-olds of Moroccan and Turkish origin with a high school education who also display a deep distrust of the Dutch political system, the researchers said."
