Mecit Adiyaman, 16, a PKK defector holding the nickname of “Serhat” who has surrendered to the Turkish security forces in the eastern Turkish province of Van, said that there are hundreds of members seeking for an opportunity to escape from PKK. Stating that the girls between the ages 12 and 15 that were kidnapped and brought to the PKK camps lived under very hard conditions, Adiyaman said “these girls are trained forcefully. When they cry because of their inability to afford these heavy trainings, they are punished. They are put in a deep and dark hole and left there for 3-4 days without water and food." Adiyaman also said that foreigners frequently visited the camps in Iran and he held talks in English with top-rank officials of the terrorist organization. He further stated that “we could have only two meals a day. We were hungry in many days.”
