"Turkey awaits response from US, Iraq over requests on PKK

Ankara is expectantly awaiting a response from the U.S. and Iraq to its requests for concrete steps to wipe out the presence of terrorist Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) militants in northern Iraq.
Turkish Foreign Ministry spokesperson Namik Tan expressed on Friday the country's readiness to take necessary measures through consultations and cooperation among concerned state institutions at times the national security is at stake, in a statement signaling the possibility for Ankara to begin cross-border operations should it not get the response it wants from the U.S. and Iraq."
