"Turkish markets recoup losses on global rally

ISTANBUL, April 2 (Reuters) - The Turkish lira leapt 2.5 percent on Wednesday despite ongoing political uncertainty in the country as positive data from the United States sent global stocks to a one-month high. The lira closed at 1.2820 against the dollar versus the previous day's 1.3150. The main share index .XU100 closed up 0.76 percent to 40,985.20 points and the yield on the Oct 7, 2009 benchmark bond <0#TRTSYSUM=IS> fell to 18.32 percent from Tuesday's close of 18.41 percent. The support level for Turkish stocks was seen at 40,500 points, said an analyst."
