-Are you satisfied with the current state of Turkey-Azerbaijan relations?
-There was a will to establish Turkish Republic. It was Mustafa Kemal Ataturk’s will. In Azerbaijan it was Heydar Aliyev’s will. Mustafa Kemal Ataturk said: “Azerbaijan’s gladness is our gladness and Azerbaijan’s grief is our grief”. Heydar Aliyev characterized the Turkey-Azerbaijan relations as “We are one nation in two states”. Turkey-Azerbaijan relations will continue throughout the world history."
