After serving for almost three years at the Foreign Ministry's Information Department and two full years as the spokesman of the ministry, Namık Tan -- or as his colleagues often refer to him, the �embedded journalist� serving in the ministry -- is becoming Turkey's new ambassador to Israel, taking over the flag in Tel Aviv from Ambassador Feridun Sinirlioğlu.
