"Ankara Reveals New Strategy for EU Bid

The Turkish government is looking respond to the European Union's (EU) suspension of accession talks.
The government says it will start to realize regulations required for the unopened chapters of the membership negotiations beginning 2007.
'If the goal is to reach European standards, then we will do it ourselves without the EU asking for it,' said Turkish Foreign Minister Abdullah Gul on Monday revealing Ankara's new strategy."
