"Turkey, EU discuss energy
ANKARA, Turkey, May 3 (UPI) -- Energy will be one of the top issues for discussion between Turkey and the European Union at their joint meeting to be held this week.
'Turkey wants to be at the (negotiation) table when energy policy is discussed,' Turkey-EU Joint Parliamentary Commission Cochairman Aydin Dumanoglu told the Anatolia news agency Tuesday. 'It does not want to be a country only where pipelines pass.'
Talks between the two sides will fall under the framework of the 56th meeting of Turkey-EU Joint Parliamentary Commission and will be held Wednesday through Friday."
