"Turkish, Greek sportsmen to swim for global peace

ANKARA, Aug. 31 (Xinhuanet) -- Turkish and Greek sportsmen will swim for global peace between Datca town of Aegean city of Mugla of Turkey and Symi island of Greece on September 1st International Day of Peace, a Turkish senior official said on Wednesday.
'With this activity which we have been organizing for three years, we are giving messages of friendship,' Datca Mayor Erol Karakullukcu was quoted by semi-official Anatolia news agency as saying."
