BusinessTurkish contracting firms have so far taken on projects worth $64 billion in 63 countries, said Turkish State Minister Kursad Tuzmen in reply to a question posed by Republican People's Party (CHP) deputy Feridun Baloglu.
According to Tuzmen the foreign trade undersecretariat kept records of Turkish contracting companies active in foreign countries.
Tuzmen stressed that the companies are suffering from operating mostly in countries which have high political and commercial risk."
