"Latvia's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Artis Pabriks, meets with the President of Turkey [24 Feb On 24 February 2005, Latvia's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Artis Pabriks, met with the President of Turkey Ahmet Necdet Sezer as part of his visit to Turkey. During the meeting, the officials expressed their satisfaction with the friendly relations between both countries and noted the large potential for cooperation in the future. The President expressed his satisfaction with Latvia's decision to open its embassy in Ankara and mentioned Turkey's plan to open its embassy in Riga in the second half of the current year. The President stressed that the opening of diplomatic missions evidence to the successful cooperation and the wish to deepen cooperation in various fields in the future."
