"Turkish Director Wins Prize for a Documentary on Syria

Turkish Writers and Artists Association on Saturday awarded Turkish movie director Bakir Ardam the Prize of ‘Turkish World Services’ for his documentary “Syria on the Way of Civilization.”
The prize was accorded to director Ardam at a party held by the Association in the western Turkish city of Izmir during which former Turkish President Suleiman Demirel distributed the prizes to several circles in the Turkish-speaking countries.
Director of the documentary “Syria on the Way of Civilization”, who is also Assistant of the Turkish TV and Radio TRT told Syrian SANA News Agency correspondent in Ankara that the main reason for shooting and directing this film was to contribute in boosting friendship ties between the two countries Turkey and Syria."
