Denktash released from hospital

The former Turkish Cypriot leader Rauf Denktash is expected to be discharged from hospital this morning. Doctors said that 87-year-old politician, who has been undergoing treatment for several months, was now in a stable condition.
Denktash had a partial paralysis caused by an embolism on May 24. After his first surgery in northern Cyprus, he underwent another operation at Ankara's GATA on August 25.
