Turkey: progress through decentralisation in education
Decentralisation and school autonomy: these are two of the main challenges Turkey has to tackle in order to adapt its labour market to the future needs of the Turkish society. Arjen Vos, ETF country manager for Turkey, considers –ahead of an international seminar on education to be held in the country- that a centralised system “was maybe good for the old Turkey, but it is no longer valid for a modern country”"
