ANKARA, Turkey: Greenpeace says nine of its activists were detained in Turkey while protesting plans to build nuclear power plants.

Turkey wants to build three nuclear plants by 2015 to meet the country's growing energy needs. Turkey has limited energy resources and relies on natural gas supplies from Iran and Russia."
