The primate of the Greek Cypriot Church Archbishop Chrysostomos will meet the Turkish Cypriot Mufti Ahmet Yönlüer today, in the first of a pair of reciprocal visits.
'We expect him here, we shall meet, speak as friends, have lunch together and visit the [Hala Sultan Tekke] mosque in Larnaca,' Archbishop Chrysostomos told the Greek Cypriot press, adding that he intended to return the visit later in January to visit the monastery of Saint Barnabas, founder of the Greek Cypriot Church, in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus."
