EU Enlargement Commissioner Olli Rehn has stated that the EU is not going to stop the negotiations with Turkey after it refused to open its ports and airports to the Greek Cypriots, but it is possible that negotiations will slow down.
After the failure of the EU Term President Finland's attempts on finding a solution for the Cyprus problem Rehn has made a speech at Helsinki University and said: "Negotiations with Turkey will not stop however the progress will slow down. We have to find a solution. European Commission thinks that the negotiations should not stop all together. Train will slow down by will not stop. This is not something usual," he added.
