"EU plans clampdown on 'terrorist financiers'

The European Commission proposed Tuesday tightening controls on money transfers in Europe in a bid to cut off funding for terrorist attacks, as part of measures made more urgent by the London bombings.
The European Union's executive arm said its proposals, which would require full details to be recorded of the senders of all funds, were aimed at strengthening a key front in the fight against terrorism."
