Rapporteur says EU to monitor Turkey elections closely
The European Parliament's (EP) rapporteur for Turkey, Kati Piri, who met with main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu and other party officials on Wednesday, said the EU will closely monitor the June 7 elections in Turkey, in what seems to be confirming widely held concerns over election security.
