Turkish women who marry before 18 at risk of violence

Women in Turkey who marry before they turn 18 are at a greater risk of violence than those who get married later in life, a new study suggests.
A report by the country’s Family and Social Policies Ministry and the Hacettepe University Institute of Population Studies found that 48 per cent of Turkish women who marry underage experience domestic violence.
