Embattled governor apologizes to Turkish Jews over synagogue remarks

Edirne Governor Dursun Ali Şahin, who recently announced that he will turn a centuries-old synagogue into a museum in the western border province in response to Israel's latest moves against the Palestinians at the al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem, has apologized to Turkey's Jewish community for his statements.
