Court: Calling Erdoğan murderer not a crime
A court in the western province of Aydın has ruled that chanting “Murderer Erdoğan” in protests is not a crime.
Zafer Kasap and Cem Türkoğlu, who were accused of insulting Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan by calling him a murderer during the Gezi Park protests in Aydın last summer, were acquitted by the Aydın 1st Criminal Court of Peace.
