"Quadricentennial celebration of Turkish-Dutch ties to boost integration

Turkey and the Netherlands believe that the integration process of Dutch Turks will gain important momentum in 2012, when the two countries will celebrate the 400th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two.
“The year 2012 would be very suitable. That would on the one hand help Turks living here to cement their existence and to show their contributions to the society they are living in as well as their importance for the bilateral ties between Turkey and the Netherlands and on the other hand would guide us on how to develop this relation for the future,” Turkey’s Ambassador to the Netherlands Uğur Doğan told a visiting group of Turkish journalists last week."
