This time an Armenian historian accepted the thesis of collaborative study of Turkey. In response to Sarafyan's offer 'let's start with Harput', Halaçoğlu gave a quick response: 'with pleasure'.
Ara Sarafyan, one of the most important historians of the Armenian Diaspora and the editor of Blue Book, the main basis for the Armenian claims, said: 'I accept the suggestion of the chairman of Turkish History Institution, Halaçoğlu, to carry out a collaborative study'."
